Time already served in prison enough for ‘serious offending’

A SHEPPARTON man involved in the severe bashing of a victim in Wangaratta has been sentenced to 195 days imprisonment as time already served.

Garrie Scott, 31, appeared in the County Koori Court on Monday and pleaded guilty to two charges of intentionally cause injury and attempted kidnapping.

The court heard Scott, along with key instigator Ian Jackson and two other co-offenders, travelled to Wangaratta from Shepparton to collect a debt owed to Jackson on April 20, 2019.
