HOMICIDE squad detectives have charged three people following the death of a Wangaratta man near Bunbartha during the Christmas period.
Emergency services were called to a car fire on Loch Garry Road around 10am on Christmas Eve, locating the body of a 19-year-old Wangaratta man after extinguishing the blaze.
A 38-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Shepparton, as well as a 24-year-old Mooroopna man, were each charged with one count of murder following the incident.
The trio were remanded in custody, and will face Shepparton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
