LAST Thursday, in spite of the rain falling all around them, a bumper group of keen croquet players turned out at the greens on Ryan Avenue for a friendly (but always competitive) hit of croquet.
Players from Howlong, Wodonga, Beechworth, Benalla, Yarrawonga and Mooroopna made the trip to Wangaratta, with mallets swinging and banter filling the air.
