Benalla man didn’t realise he was enrolled to vote at referendum

A BENALLA man who failed to vote in last year’s Australian Indigenous Voice referendum was unaware he was enrolled to vote, a court has heard.

Appearing at Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court on Monday the man learnt despite not enrolling with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) himself, he had been enrolled by them.
