JENNIFER Best was thrilled to receive a letter from Buckingham Palace last month.
The Wangaratta resident's royal mail was in response to earlier correspondence she had sent to Buckingham Palace ahead of the coronation of King Charles III.
Ms Best enclosed an article from the Wangaratta Chronicle which featured her with an 87-year-old newspaper cutting covering the coronation of Edward VIII.
The letter Ms Best recently received from King Charles III said he greatly appreciated her efforts in preserving royal history and was touched by her reaching out.
