DANNI Chubb is among local business owners who have called for greater clarity around applications for business support grants being offered by the State Government during COVID-19.

The operator of local beauty business Allure Luxe said she had applied for three different grants, of $10,000, $5000 and $3000; her application for the $10,000 assistance was rejected, and she is still awaiting the result of the others.

“The initial application said you needed to have a turnover of $75,000, and we were just shy but due to hit that mark the week we closed (due to COVID-19 restrictions in March), so I contacted them and was told to still apply,” Ms Chubb said.
