Scholarship recipients to share their experiences

KOKODA TREK: Hayden Currie at the grave of 17-year-old Reginald Hunter, at a Kokoda Track cemetery. Reginald was buried under his older brother Stanley's name, as Reginald used Stanley's birth certificate to join up at the age of 16 in World War Two.

THE Wangaratta RSL will hold a free evening with the 2024 Bob Iskov Kokoda Scholarship winners, Mak Clark, Hayden Currie and John Blake on Monday, August 19 at 7pm.

The students will take part in a panel discussion on their experience of their recent nine day trek along the Kokoda Track.

The discussion will be facilitated by Megan Iskov, granddaughter of Kokoda veteran, the late Bob Iskov.
