THE iconic Murray cod is back on the menu, with the season for the native species opening this morning.
After a three-month closed season to allow the species to breed in peace, anglers can now head to their favourite productive cod waters across the North East, be it lakes or rivers such as the King, Ovens, Buffalo, Mitta, Kiewa and Goulburn.
