IT has continued to be very dry in Wangaratta this autumn.
Since April 10 only 2.8mms has fallen in the city.
This is the driest for this particular period since 0.8mms in 1912 and before that 0.9mms in 1902 and before that 2.3mms in 1897.
The autumn dry spell in 1912 did lead to a very wet June to September period in Wangaratta and then more heavy rain in both November and December 1912.
