WANGARATTA SES crews were wading through more than 80 requests for assistance in less than 24 hours, since storms hit on Tuesday afternoon, before crews followed the storm trail to Benalla on Thursday morning to assist.
The Bureau of Meteorology recorded 54.5mm of rainfall from Tuesday’s storms at the Wangaratta Airport gauge, which included a 37mm downpour from 7-7.30pm.
