Defence calls for time served in Dunn case

THE defence barrister for Phillip Dunn, who pleaded guilty to assisting Darcy McNamara in the murder of Nathan Day in Wangaratta, has submitted Dunn should be released on time already served.

Dunn, 61, appeared via video link in the Supreme Court on Friday for a plea hearing after pleading guilty to one charge of assisting an offender.

Members of Mr Day's family also observed the hearing via video link.
