Thankful for their service

Vic Handcock sat amid a sea of more than 300 young and old faces at Oxley's commemorative Rememberance Day service on Friday, his eyes fixed on 100 small white crosses laid out near the Oxley Shire Soldiers Memorial.

The crosses carried the names of 70 WW1 and 30 WW2 sons of Oxley who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service for their country.
