Pool tanks built for testing

WORK on the Rural City of Wangaratta’s new $17 million aquatic project adjoining the existing Wangaratta Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre is continuing to progress well.

The centrepiece of the project – the new 50 metre outdoor heated pool – was filled with water last Friday and is currently being tested for any leaks.

Some 2,247,000 litres of water was pumped into the pool tank for the week-long testing which started on Monday, which once completed, will see the pool drained to start a 28-day curing cycle prior to tiling.
