Virus prompts mandatory face covering in regional Victoria from midnight Sunday

WANGARATTA residents along with all regional Victorians will have to wear a face covering whenever they leave home as of 11.59pm Sunday.

The drastic action was announced by Premier Daniel Andrews yesterday when he revealed the daily COVID-19 infection toll for Victoria had skyrocketed to 723.

“Today is not a good day,” Mr Andrews said.
