Councillors endorse grants up to $10k in community

CITY businesses and community groups are strongly urged to apply for recovery grants up to $10,000 made available through a $372,000 package adopted by council this week.

As part of the 2020/21 budget council created a new Business and Community Recovery Grants Program that will focus on supporting business and community groups with recovery and building resilience from the impacts of both COVID-19 and bushfires.

With the absence of events or visitors to the region, council has used funds from the regular tourism events’ grants program alongside funding received from Bushfire Recovery Victoria to create the new grants.
