Community to decide how we build grit and resilience

ALL ABOUT COMMUNITY: Caz Sammon is one of the Rural City of Wangaratta community members featured in a video outlining the four priorities for the Grit and Resilience program.

FOUR priorities identified through a recent Grit and Resilience program survey will be put to a community vote over the next week to shape the program’s next steps.

Locals are being encouraged to vote for one of the four themes, which were mentioned most often in the almost 300 responses to the program’s initial survey conducted in May/June.

From the four priorities – ‘growing leaders’, ‘creating connections’, ‘including and involving’, and ‘communicating and sharing stories’ – two will be enacted by the program and what coordinator Bek Nash-Webster says is now a “tribe” of people eager to understand and deliver on the community’s needs around mental health and wellbeing.
