LIKE most sports in Victoria, the Albury-Wodonga Football Association has been thrown a spanner in the works with the Victorian Government announcing that restrictions were to be tightened again due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.

Despite the government announcing that community sport was still allowed to resume, the tightened restrictions likely mean gathering numbers won’t improve anytime soon.

However, AWFA has the ability to play all games in Albury where NSW restrictions are continually easing which are likely to facilitate a return to soccer as opposed to Victoria.
