Historic site ready for 140th anniversary of Kelly Gang’s siege

WHEN people arrive in Glenrowan to pay their respects on the 140th anniversary of Ned Kelly’s capture on June 28, they will see the freshly painted railway station in its re-discovered glory.

The Glenrowan Improvers, a local volunteer group, have been hard at work restoring the historic building with a fresh coat of paint, newly trimmed trees and a tidy up of the rose garden.

Improvers president Helen Senior said it’s exciting to see the finished product but it was hard work.
