Local wineries offer a taste of things to come

Visitors to region expected but patronage will be monitored

LOW KEYED: Winery operators have been asked to jump through a few hoops in re-opening their cellar doors, and while the experience for patrons will be a little different to that seen at past wine festivals in the region, many visitors will be keen to break out of isolation.

WINERIES throughout the King Valley and Glenrowan regions will offer varying experiences from today until Monday following a return of cellar door product tastings.Patrons will be able to visit wineries for up to two hours and sample wine as long as they are seated and following the COVIDSafe guidelines in place.Minister for Regional Development and Agriculture Jaclyn Symes said it will be a boost for the economy in the north which has been hit by a loss of trade since December.
