First steps to visit friends, family, return to school, and enjoy some sport, activities

CLASSROOM doors at public schools throughout the Rural City of Wangaratta will reopen in less than two weeks following an easing of COVID-19 restrictions since remote learning began since before Easter.

Children, parents and teachers will return to some normalcy under a staggered approach, with prep to grade 2 and years 11 and 12 students returning on May 26, and years 3 to 10 on June 9.

But it won’t be school as you know it – drop-offs and students’ lunch breaks will be staggered – to prevent “mingling” between parents.
