DESPITE the rest of the country deeming it safe to be out on the golf course, Victoria and its clubs remain under a firm word that golf is not to be played while the COVID-19 pandemic is still present.

Victoria and Northern Territory were the only two states or territories to put an end to golf last month, however, the NT will today lift those restrictions, along with other non-contact sports such as tennis.

Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews put a stop to golf back at the start of April saying “you might want to play golf, but you don’t need to play golf”, even though the majority of the country has enforced modifications that have allowed the courses to stay open.
