OVENS and King Football Club presidents have given the cut of the salary cap the tick of approval with one even going as far as saying that it could bring football back to its “grassroots.”

AFLNEB’s recent announcement of a 50 per cent slash of affiliated league’s salary caps could prove to be a success by season’s end.

The O&K salary cap will be slashed from $70,000 to $35,000 given that an 18 round season is played, if anything less than an 18 round season is undertaken then a pro rate for each round loss will be brought in.
