Local golf clubs to shut up shop

GOLF in Wangaratta will come to a standstill for the next few months after Golf Australia recommended that all golf clubs should shut down until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Golf Australia released a statement late on Saturday night stating that all golf clubs should be shut until at least April 13.

“It is Golf Australia’s recommendation that, based on the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services directive issued as part of the Victorian Government’s Stage two restrictions regarding COVID-19, all golf clubs and facilities should close as soon as practicable until April 13, 2020,” Golf Australia’s statement read.
