Sally, Pieter look on bright side of their wedding delay

WHEN Sally Ross and Pieter Hellener decided in mid-February to get married, they didn’t imagine the obstacles that would stand in their way, in the form of COVID-19 restrictions on wedding attendance.

The local couple, both in their 60s and entering their second marriages, were due to marry at Wangaratta’s Holy Trinity Cathedral on April 4, followed by an afternoon tea reception in adjacent Purbrick Hall.

“I cancelled the afternoon tea (when the virus issue began to emerge), and said we would hold that later in the year,” Sally said.
