FOR the first time since World War 2 the public will be asked not to attend RSL sub-branch Anzac Day services on April 25.

RSL Victoria made the announcement on Monday afternoon after an emergency meeting amid rising coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns.

There will be a single Dawn Service at the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance with only a small number of official guests attending to minimise the COVID-19 risk.
