College postpones Timor visit, cancels USA trip in response to coronavirus

TWO off-shore student trips have been postponed or cancelled by Galen Catholic College, in response to the coronavirus.

A group of students was due to leave at the end of this month for the school’s annual Timor immersion, but advice from authorities including the Catholic Education Office (CEO) has seen the trip postponed, with a new schedule yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, Galen’s VEX robotics team was due to leave for the world championships in Kentucky, USA on April 19, having qualified for the event after winning a community award, but their trip has been cancelled.
