A SEARCH for a new sports precinct manager for Wangaratta’s future aquatic facilities and surrounding amenities has received a high calibre pool of applicants from across Australia.

The successful applicant, who will take on the $140k per annum position, could be confirmed as early as this week.

They will head up the management of the Wangaratta Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre when the YMCA steps away from it on October 31 this year, and will play a key role in the recruitment of the new council-run workforce.
