WHOROULY is confident its best football can stack up against the Ovens and King’s top sides this year after finishing last year’s season in the middle of the ladder.

The Lions have managed to gain a mix of 13 new and returning seniors and reserves players over the pre-season as they look to finalise their list in the next couple of weeks.

Whorouly coach Ben Kneebone said his side will be focusing on speed on the outside and improved ball use going into this season.
