Telling stories through public art project

ARTISTS interested in contributing to major public art projects in four high profile locations within central Wangaratta have until December 23 to put their unique vision forward.

Construction will soon begin on Wangaratta’s estimated $5 million Railway Precinct Enhancement Project after a tender for the project was awarded at last week’s council meeting.

Along with major streetscape improvements to Docker, Cusack and Norton streets, it will be the first major capital works project to incorporate public art as a key component, in a trail connecting the railway station through to the CBD.
