Cresswell downplays side’s points issue

WANGARATTA Rovers coach Daryn Cresswell says he has no concerns when it comes to the side’s player points after confirming the Hawks had lured Southport premiership midfielder Michael Mantiet (pictured left) to its list.

Mantiet, 23, spent the past two seasons with the Sharks in the NEAFL but has nominated the Hawks as his home club having signed with VFL club Sandringham.

A former rookie with Collingwood, Mantiet spent two seasons with Sydney University before joining Southport where he took his game to a new level, starring in the Sharks’ 2018 title winning campaign.
