$6 million works on three central streets set to start and finish in 2020

WANGARATTA’S central business district will essentially expand when works on three key streets in the city’s railway precinct are completed as part of a $6.038 million project due for completion by December 2020.

Norton, Docker and Cusack streets will get a massive makeover, transforming the block to be more pedestrian friendly with leafy nooks for commuters to sit and relax, new seating in aesthetic settings, street lighting for safety, and reconfigured car parking spaces.

The project received $2.5 million from the State Government and this week council decided to award the works contract to Excell Gray Bruni Pty Ltd.
