A CROWD of over 100 people gathered at the Wangaratta Performing Arts and Convention Centre on Tuesday when it played host to Give Wangaratta Pitch Up, a live crowd funding-style event held to celebrate the launch of the Give Wangaratta philanthropic fund.

Generous locals came to “give where they live” and raise money for community organisations working to improve the lives of local children, youth, families, and the disadvantaged, raising a total of $65,650, including $30,000 from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.

Funds raised by the audience were well distributed across the three charities who pitched their projects, with each representative giving it their all in a passionate show of dedication to their cause.
