Suppliers are owed around $1.5m for turb club works: Racing Victoria to loan amount for bail out.
Managers of the Wangaratta turf club are looking to move forward from the $1.5 million black hole works.

WANGARATTA Turf Club (WTC) owes in the vicinity of $1.5 million to creditors who have been unpaid for completed works on the facility’s $6.5 million plus redevelopment.

Racing Victoria (RV) and Country Racing Victoria (CRV) said they will loan the turf club the money so multiple suppliers can be paid.

It’s believed that a portion of the money owed is due to the increase in building material costs between procurement of the grant money from federal and state governments, and the on-ground works.
