Workshop to help local service professionals assist victims of violence

HAIRDRESSERS, beauty therapists and tattooists are encouraged to equip themselves with new tools at a workshop next week to learn about how to assist people who disclose family violence experiences.

A free workshop will be held next Tuesday for people in the service and personal care industries who might be exposed to conversations about family violence.

The sessions will help them learn ways to care for themselves and support clients who identify with certain issues by guiding them to helpful resources that could assist members of the community experiencing violence.
