Illegal dumping trashing local bushland

THE illegal dumping of rubbish in native bushland on Wangaratta’s outskirts has prompted indignation from local residents and a warning from authorities.

The pile of discarded broken cardboard and wooden products, rubber tyres and matting, electronic items, hosing and other plastics was discovered by walkers at a creek in close proximity to Kensington Park, near an area where members of the community plant trees in memory of their loved ones.

Local resident Paul Judd said it was disgraceful to see the bushland trashed in such a fashion.
