City secures Tigers, Pies for pre-season match

REIGNING AFL premiers Richmond will play its first preseason match of 2020 at Wangaratta against arch rival Collingwood when it begins its run to a title defence in the Marsh Community Series on Sunday, March 1.

It will be the fourth time the Tigers will play a pre-season match at Wangaratta’s Norm Minns Oval, having played Essendon twice in 2013 and 2018 and Collingwood in 2014.

Three events over three weeks in February and March are expected to attract more than 20,000 people to the city, boosting the local economy by upwards of $2 million.
