A SMALL tornado touched down for several minutes and cut a narrow path of destruction just north of Peechelba on Friday afternoon, killing cattle and damaging vehicles.

SES North East duty officer John Newlands said members from the Yarrawonga unit attended ICM Agribusiness Peechelba Beef Feedlot after the tornado struck around 4.30pm.

“Some 10 to 12 cattle at the feedlot were killed and around half a dozen staff vehicles were damaged, but fortunately there were no reports of anyone injured.
