Magpies keen for huge clash with reigning premier

    EXCITEMENT levels are growing at the Norm Minns Oval with Wangaratta determined to make an early statement in this year’s Ovens and Murray finals series when it takes on Albury at Corowa tomorrow.

    The two powerhouse sides will clash in the qualifying final with the winner progressing through to take on Lavington in next week’s major semi final.

    Albury has virtually held a top three spot all season while Wangaratta, who were the raging flag favourite prior to the start of the season, have won its past nine matches to leapfrog Myrtleford into third spot.
