FESTIVAL FUN: Music, food and traditional Italian hospitality, like the offering each year at Pizzini’s, attracts a growing number of visitors to the King Valley’s cellar doors.

LOCAL operators are gearing up for a busy long weekend as thousands of revellers descend on local wine regions to make the most of their traditional winter wine and food celebrations.

In the King Valley, the Weekend Fit for a King returns this year as a ticketed festival, with over 3000 punters expected to visit at least one or more of the 10 participating wineries over two days.

Joining the line-up are Brown Brothers, Chrismont, Dal Zotto, Darling Estate, La Cantina, King River Estate, Pizzini, Politini, Sam Miranda and new entrant, Wood Park Wines, all showcasing their wine range alongside fine food and family entertainment.
