Study hub, trains, sporting improvements to offer connection

A $4 million promise to build a study hub in Wangaratta by the Coalition Government is one several works to be carried out that Wangaratta mayor Dean Rees believes will make the city an even better place to live and work.

Along with six new V-Locity trains promised in last week’s Victorian budget, residents will in the coming years also be connected better through transport services which have been poor for more than a decade.

The government has already provided $24.2 million to support study hubs in 22 locations around Australia as part of a $490 million investment in regional higher education.
