12 month corrections order over threat to kids, damage

A WANGARATTA woman who threatened an eight year old boy with a kitchen knife from outside the vehicle he was seated has been ordered to serve a 12 month community corrections order.

The defendant appeared in Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and pleaded guilty to charges relating to criminal damage, affray and committing an indictable offence while of bail.

Defence lawyer Robert McCloskey told the court the woman was on a community treatment order and has dealt with mental health issues in the past.
