THE 2019 Federal Election for Indi has stepped up a few notches with Independent candidate Helen Haines labelling a Liberal Party mail-out yesterday as an “attack” that’s distributing “false claims”.
Orange coloured flyers hit Wangaratta mailboxes linking Dr Haines to the Labor and Greens parties’ policies, asserting that a vote for the Independent supports “Labor’s attack on retirees”, “The Greens’ $14 billion electricity tax”, and “Labor’s end to negative gearing as we know it”.
“The voters of Indi deserve better than the barrage of attack ads and false claims in their letterboxes they’ve been getting this election,” Dr Haines said.
