Veteran says excitement levels high as new-look Hawks sets sights on Albury

WANGARATTA Rovers vice-captain Sam Carpenter said the excitement levels created by the Hawks’ massive off-season has the side primed for tomorrow’s massive challenge against reigning premier Albury.

The match at the Albury Sportsground will see Daryn Cresswell officially start his coaching stint with the Hawks while several new recruits will make the brown and gold almost unrecognisable from last season.

Into the side for tomorrow will come Nathan Cooper, Noah Amery, Nick Murray, Raven Joliffe and Mat Medcraft while Charlie Thompson and Tom McCaffrey could also play pending VFL commitments.
