    WOOLWORTHS Group has not ruled out whether Wangaratta is one of its 30 Big W stores set to close across Australia, in a bid to boost its profitability.

    However, the retail giant has six years left on a 20-year lease it signed in 2005, when the purpose-built Wangaratta store opened in Ford Street.

    Woolworths Group has cited the negotiation of lease agreements as the reason why it cannot name the specific store closures, leaving local Big W staff uncertain about their future employment.
