NORTH Wangaratta’s return to its home ground was a celebration in itself, however, the football match turned it somewhat of a nightmare for new coach Dallas Colman with two serious injuries.

While Whorouly won the match by 68 points, thanks to an eight-goal final stanza, the Hawks were counting the cost with Jeremy Kelly (shoulder) and Luke Brown (knee) going down either side of half time.

Kelly’s injury was more serious with Colman confirming the talented playmaker would require surgery to reconstruct his left shoulder while Brown will miss up to six weeks with a medial strain.
