Fire Danger Period likely to stay in force to Easter

THE Fire Danger Period will last a little longer despite cooler conditions across the North East, with Country Fire Authority (CFA) having deemed the current environment too dangerous to lift regulations just yet.

CFA said there has been no indication as yet when the fire restrictions will be lifted, but at this stage it will likely remain until Easter.

During the Fire Danger Period you cannot light a fire in the open air unless you have a permit or comply with certain requirements.
