WANGARATTA women Sally Twycross, Hannah Clancy, Samaia Elkington and Tammy Vincent are taking on a 100km walk in 36 hours this weekend as part of the Oxfam Trailwalker event.

The Department of Human Services child protection workers will be walking from Lysterfield to Fairfield in Melbourne to help Oxfam raise money for people in poverty.

The women have dubbed their team ‘The Protectors’, and Ms Vincent said they hoped to raise over $2000 to help some of the world’s poorest people.
