    UNUSUAL delays in planning to establish an Organics Processing Plant in Wangaratta will cost council up to $1.4 million more than first expected.

    The 2018/19 council budget allocated $3.2 million for the project, however, a maximum of $1.4 million has now been forwarded to the 2019/20 budget to cover the price hike.

    Councillor Ken Clarke raised concerns at yesterday afternoon’s February council meeting about the cost blowout which fellow councillors had only heard about a week prior.
