    FOUR management and administrative roles at St John’s Village have been made redundant, following the Williams Road facility’s purchase by Respect Aged Care.

    The Tasmanian-based Respect took over the running of St John’s from the Anglican Diocese of Wangaratta on January 14, in a sale which encompassed the 146 bed residential care home, 30 self-care units, and 153 units in The Terrace.

    Jason Binder, managing director of the not for profit organisation, which operates nine homes in Tasmania and regional Victoria, said following a review of operations at St John’s, it was decided the four positions in management and administration in Wangaratta would “double up” on operations in the Tasmanian head office.
