Council initiatives target stronger focus on customer service delivery

PLANNING is booming in Wangaratta, with 318 permits – involving work valued at $248 million – issued by the Rural City of Wangaratta in 2018.

Works included construction of Quest Apartments and Dan Murphy’s on the former Wangaratta Plaza site, redevelopment of the Sydney Hotel in the new home for Wangaratta RSL, as well development of the expansive Glenrowan Solar Farm.

To keep up with an increased workload, council’s planning department has implemented changes to have a stronger focus on how it delivers service to customers.
